Sydney Jazz Tango are inspired by music from Argentina and combine influences from classical, latin and tango to create a unique blend of haunting melodies with jazz-inspired solos.
Established in 2009 the group initially began as a duo but have grown to become a sextet and perform traditional tangos along with original tango-inspired pieces.
Past performances include the National Argentine Day celebrations in Canberra, at the request of the Argentinean Embassy along with sellout audiences in Sydney, Blue Mountains, Newcastle and the Central West.
Sydney Jazz Tango are available for private functions, concerts and corporate events.

Cafe con Tango - with dancers A 2 hour (with interval show) featuring a mix of traditional and contemporary tango pieces with jazz influences.
2 tango dancers sit in a cafe setting and dance to some of the traditional tangos.
Cafe con Tango - without dancers A 2 hour (with interval show) featuring a mix of traditional and contemporary tango-inspired pieces with jazz influences. The show has 2 x 45 minute sets with a 30 minute interval.
Jazz-Infused Tango A 2 or 3 hour (with interval/s performance) featuring a contemporary tango-inspired music with distinct jazz influences. Including the music of Astor Piazzolla and contemporary tango composers. The performance has 2 x 45 minute sets with a 30 minute interval or 3 x 40 minute sets with 2 x 25 minute intervals.
Music from the heartland of tango A 2 hour (with interval show) featuring the music of Argentina. Performing a repertoire of music from the 20's to contemporary from Argentina The show has 2 x 45 minute sets with a 30 minute interval.
